Sometimes, it’s routine
And sometimes, it’s a project
Taking years of strife
With hesitation I start last bit
Of a task ~ I must transfer it
Professionals take over the rest
Hopefully, it’s end of the test
Help is on its way
At least, so it seems
To tackle the institutional teams
Who tried to ruin my day
Trying to solve a conflict,
I need my facts to be strict
It’s tiresome work
Now I hope for help from my network
The captain dropped a pin on the map
That gesture hushed both lieutenants
They got up and put on their cap
The captain then met today’s applicants

Thanks for the challenge, Pensivity101 💛
Another weekend not free
But, one of my last weekends
I’ll spend painstakingly
On a task that now nearly ends

Thanks for this challenge, Six Word Saturday, Debbie Smith. The title is my six word story.
I finished a difficult, time consuming task
I was faced with many a mask
Now, until the new year,
Nothing’s left but gratitude ~ I can cheer
Anyone with some kind of business
Will know this is the time
To bring last bits of finesse
To loose ends that aren’t yet sublime
A week of much work ahead
The news will drive people mad
Just go on as you normally do
You don’t need to fit another’s shoe
So near the finish line
I can’t slip up now & miss it
I’ll get back what’s mine
This, I won’t quit
Perhaps busiest month of the year
Wrapping up stuff before end of the year
Sliding into Winter & the dark days
It’s also comforting in many ways
A small light patch ~ it’s the end
Of a long, long tunnel of work
I just passed a spiral, then a bend
Hopefully, it taught me how to be a clerk
