Institutes of higher education reopen
Shops reopen at daytime
When, finally, will life reopen?
For looking inward, we’ve had too much time
Institutes of higher education reopen
Shops reopen at daytime
When, finally, will life reopen?
For looking inward, we’ve had too much time
Primary schools close next week
Only few holiday guests are allowed
Omikron is anything but weak
It’s an approaching storm cloud
Today, the nation goes back into lockdown
Social Distancing, evening closure
Will corona be part of our future?
Keeping activity down
Gorgeous weather — finally
Soon, lockdown almost lifted
Society revives carefully
We’ll see, what vaccines have us gifted
It looks like lockdown
Is lifted in baby steps, soon
Spring is no longer an empty noun
Which should be — almost June
Outside, all is quiet now
No cars, fireworks or streetraces
Outdoor cafes receive some guests now
Distant freedom lures many faces
In the past, festivals were elaborate
Now, small scale meetings create
Focus on individual persons
In online, indoor situations
Politicians foresaw Summer boredom
But, with so many new contaminations,
Experts disadvice more freedom
They want continued regulations
It is as it is
But, also now, there’s entertainment
As modest as it is
At least some time can be well spent
A simple trip to the city center
Where otherwise crowds would enter,
Is a pleasant diversion for my persona
First time since corona
Our lives have been restricted
Won’t it be nice to get back freedom
The vaccine is depicted
As a door to normality & freedom
(I had the vaccine today.)
Fun shopping, coffee outdoors
Guests, evening entertainment
Those were the days of carefree merriment
I realise gratitude is in place, even when so much bores
