What happened to the sparrow?
Birds that belong here, except for the crow,
Were replaced by parrots and sea gulls
They have a scream that strongly pulls
What happened to the sparrow?
Birds that belong here, except for the crow,
Were replaced by parrots and sea gulls
They have a scream that strongly pulls
Without good camera, the result is basic
Yet, that’s good enough for a smile
What remains, is a funny pic
With memories that may last quite a while
Slowly it falls
From a sheltering, comfortable grey deck
Sometimes, a crow or a bluetit calls
The conversation of today’s main roughneck
Wind in poplar, linden, or willow foliage,
One of my oldest Summer sound memories
It has no change or age
It ignores crow and swallow parties
Blue tits have flewn out
Abundant blue & yellow; their voices swell
My 3 years broccoli tree is doing just swell
Thousands of edible seeds sprout

Thanks for the challenge, Fandango 💛
After Covid, it all came back
Airplanes, motorcycles, cars, radios
As lively as it is ~ it can be a peace hack
Not to mention the colonies of gulls & crows
The cuckoo, the swallow
But also the gull, crow, pigeon
Latter three, some see as a plague upon
The cityscape we enjoy now
The screams of the young everywhere
Still too young to leave the nest
Soon, they must succeed in this final test
Too early for rose & linden scent on the air
Here I am, doing something tedious
Yet, I had to leave the paper fuss
The blue sky with its white fluff
Swallows bringing their vocal stuff
May they help through the monotonous
Blowing their tune
This is their time of year
To profile themselves here
Before Summer starts in June

Thanks for the challenge, Fandango 💛 It’s nice to show off a previous posting. This one was from 25 March 2012.
An amazing first timer for me:
The storch is in town
A beautiful storch couple I see
Neighbors say, they’re settling down
In Autumn, Winter,
Another feathered song promoter
Makes itself heard
Than the warm seasons favoring bird
As if we were in northern Italy
Again, the bright light astounds me
News report says, also birds change
As a result of climate change
Noise around the clock
Crows & gulls dominate
A sunlit horizon may stagnate
Their & others’ wished full sleep block
More & more,
Gulls choose the human environment
Does it ease their predicament,
Human food without hunting chore?
