Summer has come
Once we hear the cuckoo
And the pheasant’s scream too
Each season its defining drum

Money, academic degrees, descent
May not make us rank among them
Being genuine & decent,
Does add us to them
@D
Our next play will be
In a political tone
A current topic
@D
It’s exactly what some need
Their lives may have halted
They need fresh feed
Or serious help where they faulted
@D
Truth & fulfillment of promise
But also good taste
Indeed, a component it is
Of what isn’t built in haste
@D
It’s needed, at times
A day away
It may cost a few dimes
To brush some color over the grey
@D
We can’t carry
The weight of the World
Others’ tasks shouldn’t get swirled
Into those assigned to us as primary
@D
Sometimes, I’m grateful
For sheer distance
It’s helpful
For keeping a safe stance
@D
So true, thank god @}}-
Some spend it on meetings
Others on chores
Religious gatherings,
To some, beat the outdoors
@D
Taking a step aside
Makes realize what we’ve got
Or at least, give new thought
Life’s a crazy ride
@D
– * – = +
The result may be hideous
If applied to daily life
Other, simpler truth builds its strife
@D
Best is, to take distance
From the incomprehensible
It may rule out coexistence
It may defy logic or just be indefensible
@D
Sometimes, there’s only good in them
When there’s only positive mayhem
@D
Lessons are demanded
Never to take for granted
Any ship
There’s jobs you cannot skip
