68 Years Today

Forgiving & forgetting is personal
One world, no exclusion of any
Not Japan, not even Germany
Though what they did was abysmal

  1. Well, thanks… it’s not really about a birthday, it’s about the end of world war two in Asia, two days & 68 years ago. Since the eighties last century, it’s commemorated in the Netherlands. (I had seen something on tv earlier that day and was still somewhat in awe;)) On 5 May it’s celebrated too, that’s the day the Germans surrendered in the Netherlands. When I was younger, that war somehow hang as a cloud over my head, because my parents used to talk it a lot. I think now we should move on, but not forget.
